1999 is definitely the rareity of the series. Only 36 have been graded to date at PCGS, with 10 in 64, 10 in 65, 10 in 66 and 6 in 67. A 66 will be between $650-$800 anyhow, and the 67 will sell well north of a grand.
Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...
dpoole, I'm a buyer if you're referring to PCGS graded ones - I'll take ALL you got.
Speaking of Ken Potter, (for those that want a little market background on this coin) he was selling a PCGS graded MS66RD one for $2,500 last week on eBay. He has a habit of changing up his listings though in mid-stream so I can't find a link. $2,500 is a little strong though for a PCGS graded MS66RD IMHO. Last one we sold in 66RD went for $1,750 about 5 months ago. We do have a PCGS MS67RD one though now.
Ken was also selling a PCGS MS65RD one for $850 very recently.
Ken's site is also very informative as to what the markers are for this variety.
Not sure about,"Slabs take all the guess work out".
I made one of the PCGS MS64's from the one I found in my pocket.
Still looking for another one.
Here is a link to a 2000 Wide AM in MS64 that I just sold. There is a a close up of the reverse that you can enlarge.
