perhaps those in the know about "Wannabes" can enlighten collectors about the sharks who have years of experience, can grade, set up at shows and feed off the less knowledgeable. Aren't they more dangerous than "Wannabes?"

I think any dealer who has been around for even a short time knows all or most of the "sharks", but they will not or can not devulge that information. LAWSUITS AGAIN !!!!!!

I am now thinking that lawsuits are possibly the largest detriment to coin collecting. We cannot publicly say the names of the well known coin doctors, or the "sharks".

Since you are a dealer, RKAY, can you list some names for us???
Coin Doctors, sharks, or maybe a list of the "best" dealers ????
I know your answer is "NO". "LAWSUITS" ??????????

Jon Rosenthal
Ron Gillespie (Numismatic Rarities)
I'm sure given time, I could name others.

I have no problem providing opinions on the other side, just not in this setting.

You did not list yourself ! Just kidding. AS a former lawyer if I remember right, don't you think possible lawsuits kind of hinder coin collecting ? But I suppose without lawsuits, there would be rampant false accusations. So, we stay at square one.

Rick Kay - Pattern Coins - belongs in the "A+" list of the Fair, honest and ethical dealers who are great to deal with, very knowledgeable and will assist collectors and share his excellent knowledge if you collect patterns. I have no clue whether he's one of the "Real Players" or whether he's a "Market Maker" I know he buys and sells very nice coins and he treats his customers with respect. I've bought coins from Rick, and I would do so in the future!

There's Big sharks and little sharks, young sharks and old sharks, and even some that don't know they are sharks - they ALL have sharp teeth and can "Kill" if you swim in their ponds. Anything else you'd like to know about sharks?

Sorta reminds me of a joke that all my clients like to tell me about sharks and lawyers - but you've all probably heard it

Cammie's young - his tastes may require a little physical interaction - I've been married 35 years - so I'm only allowed to fondle "Young School Girls" like the kind that Rick keeps in his inventory - my wife allows that - but she draws the line when I try and take them to bed with me!
