SOMEONE SAID THAT THIS WAS A GOOD camera FOR TAKEING PIC. OF COIN??
IS IT A GOOD COIN camera?

Sony Mavica? Not that I've heard of. Try to get a camera that has an excellent macro performance.

let me add that you can buy a scanner off ebay for under $50 that works great too, like this halfdime scan

This article was written by me with the photo's all being Mavica taken and my 10-30x microscope for the real small details. I use the microscope often (for coins) so it wasn't purchased solely to take micro photo's but the combination works well.

these were all taken with a $50 scanner i got off ebay. It's an HP something.. 3550 i think

Nice job on the pics DQ.....
I use a Mavica also. Love the camera......I will probably never need anything more for eBay use.....
