E-Bay re-using pictures ?
A question for some of the sellers here.
If you sold a coin on e-bay, would you object to the buyer reusing your picture if he later wanted to sell it?
I have bought some coins from Russ, Carl, Cam, etc, and would like to sell some duplicates.
Most of the time their pictures are better than I could get from my digital.
Is it proper form to ask first, or once yoy buy it, is it a green light to use.
Do you consider these copyrighted photos?

You will not be "reusing" the picture. You will be stealing it!
Ask first, most people won't mind.

<< <i>You own the coin, not the picture. I doubt that anyone would mind you using their photo, but technically you should get permission before doing so. >>

<< <i>It probably would be nice to ask first, but I wouldn't care if someone used my picture after they bought the coin. >>
I agree, it's always nice to ask prior to just using the photos. But in the long run, I believe if you buy the coin, you should also have rights to the images.
Tasters Choice believed that also.
I agree, and do this quite often,I also ask for the title when I buy a car
