Some day, I would like to collect...

Barber quarters! There, I said it. Some are beautiful, some are very rare, and they span the 19th and 20th centuries (classic and modern at the same time--okay, that's a stretch).

Perhaps, when I finish one of my current conquests, I will collect Barber quarters.

    Barber Quarters are my next set, too. Unfortunately the 1896-S, 1913-S, and especially the 1901-S keep this a fantasy set for me. I'll keep trying to find the others in Fine to XF and try to enjoy these as much as my complete sets.

    I did a set of Barber Qs. Sold it a year or so ago. Depending on the grade you want, it could be pretty easy or very difficult.

    Still looking after all these years for a choice AU ( 53-58 ) 1901-S Barber quarter and that set will be complete. Dimes are complete ( no , not with the 94-S ) and the halves are getting very close to completion.

    Proof type coins seem like they would be fun to collect...no real direction at the moment.

    I don't think I'll start another series... its just too frustrating.

    I like the barber series... but 10K for a VG 01-S quarter seems painfully expencive.

    I see a fair number of colorful 92-P's. But that one is REALLY nice.

    Tough series, my friend. Tough. Most people bail early on building a set. Too tough, I guess. Those folks head over to the moderns. Not me. I've been waiting 20 years for my VF20 01-S. May have to wait another 20. But get I'll get there!

    I like the 92-o posted, very nice coin.

    David is dead on on the 01-s pricing. A national dealer just sold a Vg-8 at over 10k.

    I happen to like the Barber coinage. I was thinking of a circulated set of dimes. Other than that, I would like to do a circulated set of Mercury dimes

    CC seated quarters and 20 centers. Anyone got a spare 73 CC quarter or 76-CC 20 center?
