CWT guys........I need a little help identifying a Fuld number.

I received a CWT today and thought i had it identified.
(Pic #'s 2 and 3 in my sig line.)
My question is: "What are the differences between die #'s 163, 164, & 165"?
The Fuld book i have (Patriotic CWT's) was published in 1960 and the pics aren't that great.
I had identified it as 163/352 C, but i'm not totally convinced it's 163. Is there a better book with bigger, more detailed pics ?

Below is a Die-A-Gram sample from the book for dies 163 thru 166. They use line graphs as well as photos to walk you through each die...
Incuse union on shield? if yes you have die 164 (if not go to next)
stars above eagle? if yes you have die 166 (if not go to next)
if no stars above eagle and strike is bold and even you have die 163
if strike is weak and uneven die is 165
This Die-A-Gram feature makes it easy and a snap in identifying the many tokens that appear similar in this series and I highly recommend this book.

"UNION" is not incuse.
According to Fuld the designation for Copper and Brass would be C or BR.
I see A in your descriptor. I'm assuming it's the same ? (A for Copper, B for Brass)
example: F-163/352A
A=Copper
B=Brass
C=Nickel
D=Copper-Nickel (incuding CN cent overstrikes)
E=White Metal
G=Gilt
MP=Tin Plate
The Fuld Obv/Rev die numbering system is very confusing, but is necessary due to the different die pairings/errors/metals. We are developing a Partiotic numbering system which will list aboiut 600 die pairs. This will help show which die pairs are needed for a complete set. Add the errors, different metals and you get the current system, which is acceptable for a foundation of the series.
