Has anyone ever seen a Kennedy (#7) like that? Are we talking one of a kind?
Joe
A dated Washington quarter struck on a cent planchet in ANACS 63RB recently sold for $552. Your no date in 63BN won't do quite as well but it gives you a rough idea of value.

Eh... I've seen nicer.... I have a nice double-clipped example in my set, though I doubt NGC would call mine 66RD.
I do want to call dibs on that crescent-clipped '64 cent, though. Now *that* is a neat coin!

Intentional or not that makes sense. The increased striking pressure of a Kennedy could make a cent planchet stick to the hammer die rather than be ejected. So somewhere out there is a Kennedy struck on a Lincoln planchet that mates to this, or it was destroyed by the Mint. One of many things this coin has going for it is it was obviously the first strike after the "malfuction", a mirrored cross denomination brockage sort-a-speak. If it remained stuck to the die for additional strikes the detail would have become obliterated like this example.

Sam, that hoard was started in the 70's when they were available. I'm very jealous.
