I don't know about $100,000,but $20,000 has ME on edge.

My first very BIG coin, 1795 silver plug flowing hair dollar in XF45.

I know what it's like to sell a collection and get a check for $100,000. I guess that's not the same though.

Oh, it is fairly ho-hum. You buy it, then it quickly goes to a safety deposit box. It is much more fun to plunk down a cool $270,000 for that new Ferrari and drive it off the lot. Even funner is handing your broker the down payment on your 62 foot yacht and breaking it in at Dana Point harbor.

When you are rich you get used to buying and oogling $100.000 coins. It is probably like the working man's joy at being able to attend Nascar and seeing Jeff Gordon.

Well I've held 5 of the 1804 Dollars and it was really a thrill. And much less stressful than buying anything like that!

It's not much different than any high dollar coin purchase. The only differance is with a $100,000+ coin the potential buyers are fewer.

You don't have to make your decision to buy right at that instant.

When/If you decide you want it you write out the check and take the coin in a little plastic bag out to your car and in my case put the coin in the wheel well in the trunk of my car. I proceeded to valet park my car and go play a couple sessions of BINGO ... True story ..

The coin was a 1795 Flowing Hair Dollar with Three Leaves graded MS64. The price I paid was in excess of $150,000.
