An eBay Selling What Would You Do?

You want to change the title of an auction, but there's one bidder so far. Do you:

A- Keep the title as is?
B- Cancel the bid, change the title, email the bidder with an apology?
C- Something else?

    Correct, that's why a bid would need to be cancelled

    Cancel the bid, e-mail the guy (beforehand) and change. Thats not even 1 day into a 5 or 7 day auction. He will have plenty of time to bid again and should understand.

    It really would depend on the nature of the need to change the title. If it would have a material negative impact on price or presents the appearance of something incorrect that may cause bidders to pay more than they should, end it and relist. If it is of little consequence, let it run.

    Shouldn't have a negative impact--it's to add "Saint" to a Saint Gaudens auction, in case that's a searched term.

    I don't believe you can change the title even after the bid is cancelled. You would have to actually end the auction and start over.

    Given the change you propose, I would keep it as is.
