Shipping Question

I know this question has been asked before many times. I tried the Search function first but couldn't really get a clear answer. My first eBay coin auction ends today. I believe in Customer Service and want to ensure my Customers are happy in every way! It looks like some coins will sell for under $50 and some around $300. All are slabbed coins except one Kennedy Collector Set. How do you guy's ship items with these values? Thanks In Advance! Lee

First class mail with delivery confirmation if they don't pay for insurance. Insured, first class if they pay for insurance.

Over $300 sometimes I throw it in a flate rate priority envelope to get it there a day faster.

Sounds good to me. And on the expensive items put signature comfirmation it's free with the priorty mail.

I insure everything above $100, the customer doesn't get a choice. I ship everything by first class mail unless the value is over $700 then I use Registered. If the lot contains enough coins to weigh close to a pound I ship Priority.

I only charge $1 for insurance. Yes, I know that is under the postal rates but I do it since I try to entice people to use insurance. No one hardly does. If the coin sells for $140 and they are too cheap to pay one more dollar for insurance forget it. Delivery confirmation it goes.

Does everyoe just use a standard bubble mailer? Lee

Yes, bubble mailer with the slab wrapped in bubble stuff also. Double protection and it meets the postal regulation size for delivery confirmation.

Your right it costs $1.30 my mistake.

Also from my experience please include a receipt of some kind. I've recieved coins and didn't really know where it came from.

Buyers pay for insurance !
If they refuse,i pay for it !
i dont need the hassle if it gets lost !

I always use insurance.

I use a Safe-T-Mailer for individual slabbed or raw coins.

I use a bubble envelope if sending first class.

I often send Priority mail in lieu of first class mail.
