    I don't know if I've ever shared this bunch - for a while I had a birth-year set of off-center strikes. The cent and nickel have since been sold, and the quarter is in at PCGS right now in anticipation of a sale:

    This thread motivated me to photograph the latest addition to my type set of clips - an 1804 half cent:

    The coin is quite a bit darker in person than the photo suggests. I hit a Buy It Now on this one last week for $90 - how'd I do?

    I have that same 85-P $.25, 176 or 180 degree. Its still raw, found it in the early 1990's not too much after reading a summary of coins found and put into articles in Coin World.

    Great, this is actually the throw in coin, but for some reason they only pictured this one. $80.00 for two coins is not too bad.

    It's not an error. It's a common form of vandalism. The coin was squeezed to a smaller diameter, forcing up a high "rim" that curls over the peripheral design elements.
