It is not a fake. It is a contemporary counterfeit. Ironically, it is worth more as a counterfeit than a real Seated Dime of that particular era (assuming a common date). It was probably made in the 1850's is my guess. I own several contemporarty (made during the era approximate to the date on the coin) counterfeit Bust and Seated coins. They are real pieces of Americana!

In it's day it was called a fake.
Now it's something special.
I don't see Cameron or anyone else being wrong here.
The email was out of line in my opinion.
I would buy it in a second.
