Goodbye for now-If you have business with me.......

Dog97Dog97 Posts: 7,874 ✭✭✭
I'm fixin to get my clock cleaned by a hurricane, looks like I'm gonna take a direct hit from a big one. I owe some of you $$$ & some of you owe me coins from here & eBay etc and I won't have any internet, electricty, of mail for maybe several weeks. So some of you may be late getting $$ and the Post Office might return your packages back to you.
So that's what's going on if you don't hear from me for a while. All our coin deals are still on, don't start no flame threds calling me a scammer or deadbeat bidder or anything like that! image

    Dog:

I just went though Frances here in Gainesville, where the max sustained wind was 60 MPH. I can only barely imagine what is headed your way, but I do urge you to get out. 60 MPH was not terrible, but 135 MPH is something else entirely different. The way I look at it, your house will sustain whatever damage might come to it whether or not you are there. But the odds of YOU sustaining damage are a lot higher if you are there than if you head inland or West.

Regardless, my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

    Good luck Dog...

Hopefully you live away from mobile bay aways. And hopefully the storm will track a bit right of there. If it does go towards Pensacola a bit, I think your house and belongings should be ok for the most part. That is if you live away from mobile bay. The storm surge will be considerably less if it goes east.

I wish I would have known that you lived down there. Last Tuesday, I was one of very few meteorologists here that said that I didnt believe the model output taking it over Cuba and similar to the path of Charlie. Not that it matters now, but I called for the storm to hit Pensacola since LAST Tuesday...I guess I might be a bit off but I am hoping for your sake that it starts to turn NE soon...

    Best of luck.

    V.r,
    John

Prayers and best wishes to you and your family, especially your mom. I haven't heard from my aunt in Mobile, but I expect she's already in Atlanta with my cousin. I hope the same is true for my sister in the panhandle. My family has been through several hurricanes and they're never fun. It can take a decade or more to fully recover from the really bad ones.

You and everyone there will be in our thoughts and prayers. You might want to turn your electricity, gas, oil, off before Ivan does. Utility companies are standing by around the country to help out afterwards. Head for safety and we'll hope for the best.

Me & my girl and staying @ home. Long about midnight tonight I'm gonna wish I was somewhere else for sure. This will be the second or 3rd time I took a direct hit from a major so I know what to expect. I'm not leaving my place to go hide in a shelter for who knows how long. Traffic is backed up bumper to bumper for miles and anybody that leaves now will spend the hurricane sitting in their car on the road somewhere. We're under curfew & martial law right now & ordered to ecaucate yesterday. We're not sposed to be here.
Just finished boarding up my windows. Lights are flickering and the tv says there are some tornadoes flying around. Probably won't be on line much longer.
Thanks for all the good words.
I'll be back to yank your grumpy chain soon stman. hahaha
