I am a certifiable Canadian coin collector. Do I count?

I have a whole "shipload" of Canadian coins to be certified before I try to sell them. Perhaps they should go north of the border instead of to Newport Beach.

What do you guys think about Louis Chevrier starting CCCS grading service for Canadian coins?? Do you think he can actually compete with ICCS?? Am interested to see how this develops. I saw a picture of his holders, not much better than ICCS, but the inserts do look a little more professional (probably done on a computer vs. ICCS' old typewriter). Over on CCRS, he mentioned that he was looking into hard shell cases like the US companies use. Will watch and see what happens next.

ICCS is a tough grader, sometimes out of touch with reality. Although the service is fast and reasonable in price, there is still that useless plastic flip that is prone to cracking and getting tape slime all over them...

Now all they need is to start a 'set registry' program.

I feel this is a common misconception. ICCS uses a different set of standards than PCGS, not including eye appeal.

The site has a simple layout and uses .pdf format for submission forms. The forms are not serialized tho. It should drive business up. I have the same concerns as others about the materials used for the holders. My opinion is that ICCS is conservative on the technical grade. They do add points for eye appeal and lustre. Their definitions for cameo and deep/ultra cameo are not the same as US graders.

I saw some CCCS holders at the CNA in Toronto. They looked liked ICCS except for blue inserts. Time will tell if they catch on.

WHAT!!! ANOTHER CCCS! (This will make five companies with those initials. Or is this another holder style for Canadian Currency Certification Service?) Ok folks I need images or links.
