Will the TPG services downgrade for clashed dies?

If a coin is otherwise MS-64 or 65 but with clashmarks will it grade lower by PCGS or NGC?

Anyone know for sure? Does it matter light clashmarks? . . . . . . . . . .heavy clashmarks?

    I don't believe they will. (?)

I had an 1815 quarter once, with pretty heavily clashed dies, in a PCGS holder. Of course, it wasn't MS64-65.

I've got a Washington with a major die clash on the reverse...MS66.

They don't seem to downgrade Buffalo nickels for it.

I think it is simply part of the "as struck." As far as I can tell it doesn't change the grade.

    sometimes

on later date 1879 to 1889 choice to gem mintstate gold dollars at one particiular service

i do see more undergraded coins by almost a point to a ponit+ with clash marks but it makes a wonderful opportunity for the buyer
