You all know this forum rating thing that's here when you open up the profiles?? I'm confused about the 1-10 scale- is one really good, or is 10 really good??? I can't tell if people are dissing me, or if they're thinking I'm pretty swell.....

Nobody knows, so we're all pretty much 5.5's, the average possible grade.

Edited to say that my rating is 5.34.

I gave those I had not yet rated a "1" because most everyone on this forum is #1.

It's really something that PCGS should eliminate.

All a person has to do is piss off someone like the moron "Monkeyman" and your rating will get dropped a few points!

It really serves no real purpose!

Pretty much. With no clear cut definition of what's good or bad (1 or 10) it's worthless. I'm just trying to get a bunch of RATERS (votes) and don't care what the rating is.

I would figure common sense on the 1 to 10 scale (1 terrible to 10 great). I too, think it's a worthless part of ones profile.

The rating system is obviously a 1 to 10 scale with 1 being bad, 10 being bad and 7 being just about perfect.

Well i was rating about 5 anyhow, so i'm one of those people you either love or hate? Or maybe everyone just loves me but they thought 10 was tops whilst the others though 1 was tops... then again what if everyone ha... ah erm i'll be quiet now.

Most anyone who has a firm opinion about the coin market or politics is going to end up in the middle of the ratings. Currently I'm a 5.60, which is about as high as I've even been. Most all of the "good contributors" are in the 5 to 6 range. If you have close to a 10 you must be a newbie with few votes, or a wishy-washy person who takes no controversial positions.
