SAE Collectors: Does this look real?

Here is a 1995-W SAE on E-bay. The photo looks more like the copies on E-bay, or do you think it is just a bad photo?

Look out for this one! 3 feedback to boot.

There's another 95-W on the Bay. It has a reserve on it. This one looks too funky...JMO

Furthermore, when someone is trying to sell that which is unique, they usually post a pic. In this case, it would be a CLEAR pic of the reverse with a blown up "W"

Would you mind supplying more pics? The reverse & a blown-up pic of the mint mark while capturing the reverse at the same time. Those that are interested wouldn't be skeptical about your auction. Just some sound advice from a fellow eBayer...:-)

Sure looks strange to me. Keep in mind these coins are well above that mark. Better off going and finding a real one.

On description it's mentions that coin comes in velvet blue box. I don't think they were also shipped or sold from the Mint in these boxes? My dad has five sets of the gold’s with the Silver Eagle W Mint; I thought this was the only way to get these coins. This auction does look fishy.....

PCBUM - I too have the 95 W and it does come in a red folder with four gold proof coins. The little blue box was the packaging for the 1995 P proof.

Proceed with caution. I've seen several 1995-w Proof "commeratives" on ebay like this one and this one.

Some have moderately deceptive descriptions like this one. I noticed some of these auctions use the same descriptions and photos.

Anyone know who makes the knock offs?

I don't know who makes the copies. They are legal as copy is printed on the reverse. I just hate deceptive ads that try to make them look genuine.

Oh, and yes the 1995-W SAEs were originally only available with the 1995-W gold proof set and it has a "w" mark on the reverse. The 1995-P would have been available with a blue US Mint cardboard boax containing a blue velvet box and COA.

I noticed this auction this weekend also. Too little seller history, only a single stock photo and the recent appearance of copies made me stray away. Perhaps the seller knows more than us and has reason to trust the transaction. More knowledge can position one to win a great deal. I sincerely hope so in this case! Otherwise, if it sounds too good...

Looks like a rip off. I would never buy one that high from some one who only has 3 feedbacks better steer clear of this one. And no return.

The only reason I am following these on E-bay is that I plan to sell my soon (PCGS certified). I am trying to get an idea what they are selling for. I just hate seeing people get ripped off.

Sorry, but as a seller, and I'm speaking solely about myself; I, by this time, would've ammended this auction to render the pics necessary to appease the querys that potential customers have posed. So, at this juncture, I'm led to believe that this auction is BOGUS. Refer to my prior posts. Someone else inquired about posting pics too.

Steve is right. The auction pic was definitely ripped from Tulving. They are identical.
