Are you ever an "oh what the hell?" buyer?

You want it. It's available. You want to pay X. It's "X + Y". You look at "Y". You still want the coin. So you say "oh what the hell?" and buy it.

Yes. Too often.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
However, I have bought coins that I did not have in mind but there was something special about them that price was not an issue.

I did this because I've been looking for a 1/2 Cent like this one for 3 years and didn't know when I'd find another one. OTOH, if I had just started looking for one of them, I probably would have passed on the coin.

Coin was a ungraded 1899P Morgan. Might of overpaid a little but ive been looking up and down for this one and it was one of the nicest I have seen. When I get a picture I'll post it and would like some feedback on it.....Would be greatly appreciated.
This is my first post and I really enjoy this forum, quite informative

both cost more than they were "worth" at the time, but still crazy about em, and I still have not seen their equal for less than twice what they cost.

All too often, unfortunately.
