I vote for an S/S, too. It looks like the lower serif, and the base seems to match the curve.

It's a 46-S. I found many slightly repunched mint marks but this was the widest spread I could find. I was thinking S/S but when I took pics it looked like a D. mike

I was going to guess 1946S RPM#2, but I couldn't find a picture.

Is there doubling on United States and EPU as well?

If it's the one I'm guessing it is, they are about $30-$50 in BU.

Hey Mike, On an RPM there is no other doubling anywhere else on the coin, unless there is a doubled die coin which also happens to have a secondary, unrelated, RPM variety.

This is about the best I can come up with for attributing it without a guide. I took the picture from this auction, outlined the mm in red, and overlayed your picture on it. I can't tell for sure, but it looks possible.

Well..... an overlay isn't always accurate... MM positions do tend to float around... so an overlay doesn't determine an RPM, just that this die had a different MM position from this die...
