PCGS Encapsulates 10 Millionth Coin
(Inspired by press release in June 2004 Numismatist)
[Newport Beach, CA] On January 7, 2005, Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), a Division of Collectors Universe, Inc. encapsulated its 10 millionth submission--a 1964 AH Kennedy half dollar. Graded Proof-69 DCAM, the milestone piece was submitted by Russ of Compucheap, International, the Washington-based company best known for the slab caddy.
"Accented Hair Kennedy halves are among the rarest of the major Kennedy half varieties of the 1960's, especially in near-perfect proof condition," says Ron Howard, director of "A Beautiful Mind" and known to many for his role as Richie Cunningham on "Happy Days." "This 1964 AH Kennedy is a splendid example. We initially bodybagged it for altered surfaces, but Russ was able to successfully rid the coin of the dip that was used to rid the coin of the milkspots. Until the coin turns in the holder, it will be the finest known AH Kennedy extant, and the first Proof-69 DCAM example seen in 18 years."

I bet Russ was hoping for a Proof 70 instead of a 69 so he could move up in the registry a point. But he has 6 months to find the coin now
BTW that was not 10m coins it was 1 million coins resubmitted 10 times each
Check out a Vanguard Roth IRA.
I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.

Shh .... we wanted Russ to own all of them before this info got out
For those who don't know, none have ever been graded by PCGS as PR69DCAM. I'm on a mission.

NEVER LET HIPPO MOUTH OVERLOAD HUMMINGBIRD BUTT!!!
WORK HARDER!!!!
Millions on WELFARE depend on you!
The x millionth coin is always a set-up. The 9 millionth coin is an 1855 Type II Gold $1 in MS-66. If I recall, the 8 millionth coin was a condition census 1916 Standing Liberty quarter. It's never a SAE in MS-68 or a 1963 Frankie in AU58.
DID I WIN???
RATS
I NEVER WIN.
