Guess the grade 2 1965 Toned Kennedy Half's

From two original Federal Reserve Rolls. End of roll coins , obviously.

Oh wait, I already have the results:

1 21569801 1965 50C USA Damage
1 21569802 1965 50C USA Damage

I asked for them to put a hold on the coins so someone could take a look at them again. Customer Service was very polite and hopefully I'll get some clarification. A real bummer, 2 of the nicest toners I have ever seen image

They're full of crap. They did the same thing to me on a 1964 proof toner - called it environmental damage. Graded on the next submission.

I've seen toning like the bottom coin on classic commemoratives.

You put that toning on an Elgin or an Antietam and the "wonder" money is going to come out.

Does not look like damage to me -- I'll bail you out at $6 a coin....image

I've seen exactly that toning on exactly that series in a PCGS holder with a wondergrade, and seen similar coins raw. They're wrong about those two. They'll err on the side of caution, but those coins should holder. JMO

Customer Service managed to stop the coins from shipping image I mentioned to Alyssia (sp?) that the coins have alot of die polish esp. on the reverse which I guess with a cursory look one could think is damage. I'm hoping that is the case. The Grader didn't BB the coin for enviromental damage ( I acetoned the coins before they went in even though I saw no evidence of PVC etc.) but for damage i.e tooling etc.

    We shall see.
