    Nice shipment image

I'll bet they seem more protected now, as well as certified authentic and graded.

also, somehow they're more substantial in the PCGS holders, aren't they?

Peaceman: 8 of the 9 coins in this submission were at the Regular $30 per coin tier grading service level which was included as part of my Platinum Upgrade Membership subscription that I purchased at the invitational.

It was a great deal for me, because for the $229 I was able to immediately submit these 8 coins ($240 value) plus also get some upgrade coupons for future use, and the 2 year Platinum Level membership. Since these 8 were a combination of $20 Gold and high value type coins, they exceeded the $16 Economy Service Level qualifications -- so the $30 level was most cost effective. The Proof 3 Cent (Nickel) was my free quarterly submission image

The other 10 Morgans that I submitted at the Invitational were done at the $16 Economy Service Level, so I don't expect to receive them for another ~6 weeks -- but that's OK...

    Hope this answers your question...

Baley & JoeCool: I'll post the pictures that I already have for some of these coins, however I do not yet have pictures for either the 1918-S Standing Liberty Quarter in MS-64 FH or the 1927 $20 Saint Gaudens in MS-65.

The 1907-S $20 Liberty (not pictured) is a very cool coin because it is Fully PL if not DMPL, and is therfore one of my favorites

I probably won't have a chance to get around to photgraphing them for a while -- other priorities for an upcoming trip... Here's what I've got so far...

  • Great to hear... I guess my $ 30/coin isn't worth squat.... waiting on 5 coins since 4/5 at 15 day service....

Peaceman: It sounds to me like you should be receiving some free coin submission credits if you haven't yet received your coins back yet.

But it does seem strange, because I submitted mine (in person) on April 12th, and they were logged into PCGS' online computer tracking system on April 13th. The grades were posted exactly at close of business on Day 15...

Have you checked online to confirm that the order is still being processed? image

Neptune: Thanks for your congratulations on this group of coin submissions. I am quite pleased with the results! image

I'm still waiting for the grades on the 10 Morgans which aren't due back for another 6 weeks or so. I'm really anxiously anticipating what grade my 1880-CC will get -- I'm hoping for something above MS-64 PL

great looking coins and I would like to see the 1835... I have my doubts about the grade and no doubt about your comment.

Chrysta, shmort6552, pontiacinf & coinkat: Thanks for your complimentary posts on my coin submission grades. The 1835 Capped Bust Half has the most incredible full mint luster that one can imagine for a coin that's 170 years old. It has almost no contact marks, abrasions or defects of any kind, other than a bit of a weak strike on Miss Liberty's curls and on the eagle's right breast & wing area.

It has now been graded by PCGS as a technical AU-58 because it has a very minute amount of discoloration that the PCGS graders interpreted as cabinet friction just at the top of Miss Liberty's breast and on her cheek. However, I feel that this coin is closer to an MS-64 or MS-65 and it is a truly beautiful lustrous coin to behold!!

I'm glad that it is now certified, but I'm as sure as I can be that it has been undergraded. However, the grade on the holder for this coin is irrelevant, because I would not part with her for less than a choice uncirculated price.
