    a neat coin!

from the number on the holder I think? this coin was not sent in raw

it was sent into pcgs already in a pcgs holder and upgraded and/or up designated

    Very nice WWW! Congratulations.

    Michael,

Actually, I believe the picture on the left is the coin raw still in the proof set. My understanding is there is no rhyme or reason to the serial numbers.

    Untrue.

Some of the numbers on my holders of recently graded Franklins are very similiar to this one.... Every single Franklin I have ever sent has been a raw coin.

Those are before and after pictures of the same coin. I sent it in to PCGS raw and still inside the US Mint packaging.
What a difference in appearance from when it was in the flat-pack. The PCGS holders really make these DCAM's sparkle.

Many great proofs look crappy because of the flat-pack holders and I'll bet get overlooked because of it. Sometimes you have to take it out to see what you really have.

Where did that one grade Russ? My guess based on the pic would be 68DCAM, but pics sometimes lie.

It's in at PCGS right now. My grade is also PR68DCAM. It has a couple faint obverse hairlines that I think will keep it out of a 69 holder.
