LOL. That is a great auction. Maybe it will be able to help steer people away from the other fake grading services that are being made with the CoinWorld holders.
I put it in the featured items for good coverage. I'm hoping that many, many newbies see it and realize that all that stuff out there in SGS and other people's slabs is nothing but garbage.
If I can get the word out...it's worth the $25 bucks or so listing fee.
Hehe, good job TWODOGS! That's hilarious!!! Glad I found people to tell me to stay away from the craptacular slabbers early on, before I ever bought a plastic... Hey, I know, you're "Telemarketer Bulk Submission Special" Could just be called the "Craptacular Service"
In the "Frequently Asked Questions" section I originally had the question, "Why the name "Crap-U-Slab?" The answer was: "I wanted a name that people would automatically associate with slabbed garbage and ACG was already taken."
I removed it because I thought someone might complain and ebay would boot the auction.
<< <i>If you put SAMPLE SLAB, Cameron would be all over it! >>
Cameron already approached me months ago when I first came up with the idea for the auction. I've got the prefect coin for him, but haven't gotten the label printed yet. He's been annoying me lately, but I'm a man of my word and will get it to him.
This is fantastic TWODOGS. Thats going to a valuable slab I,ll bet. #000001? I,m sure Conder101 would like to own that one for his collection. You oughta give him first shot at it. Or just make um all #000001s? lol
Seriously, I think it would be fun to have you `crap slab` a coin of mine for me. Whats the rate for members and estimated turnaround time?
Ok Twodogs, give me an address and in the mean time I will put it in the oven with the porkchops I'm roasting. It should turn out great with a wonderful aroma.
<< <i>Seriously, I think it would be fun to have you `crap slab` a coin of mine for me. Whats the rate for members and estimated turnaround time? >>
Cameron's turnaround time has been 6 months, so far. But like I said, he's been annoying. I was going to charge him shipping, the cost of the slab and $2.00 for myself to make it an even $10.
<<I hate seeing all the high dollar bids by people with low feedback numbers on these scam artists' auctions. >> J.C. I agree with you 100%!!! It HURTS coin collecting!....Once these newbies found out they've been had, it leaves a sour taste in their mouth and they are less likely to continue buying coins on the internet or persuing an interest that has scam artists around around every corner telling you lies to your face with false descriptions, products and pictures. In most places, this is illegal and considered fraud! Maybe, one day, eBay will get their act together and shut down these thieves. Until then, the BEST thing to do is properly educate these "newbies" so they don't get taken. Auctions like the one you put up are a GREAT way to do this.

Three and a half years ago I was taken on this very coin. I liked the colors, so it didn't matter all that much. But...it cost me a pretty penny to learn the lesson.
Brother Twodogs, it looks like the coin is now over your reserve. As I have said before, I am not the only one that wants a crap-u-slab. You could make quite a side line putting our bad luck into slabs. Its one thing to have a coin that you learned a lesson on, but to have it in a slab that also reminds you at a glace what crap is really out there is a better reminder.

Funny, timely, filled with wisdom and a joy for the whole family.
I would love to see somebody walkup to Crap-u-slab's customer service rep and say "Mister, I don't think this coin is really a 64!"
I'd pay money for that pleasure.
Well done, Twodogs.

"Q: Isn't that a conflict of interest?
A: I'm interested in making money, therefore, no conflict."
Love it.

If there is a TV or telemarketer interested in having coins slabbed, is there a massive bulk discount?
Is it true that "Crap-U-Slab" gets and slabs so much AT, that it tends to reject NT coins because their grader forgot what the real thing looks like?

I hope so. I hate seeing all the high dollar bids by people with low feedback numbers on these scam artists' auctions.
I never really expected the coin to sell, however.

If it makes just ONE person back off and not bid on those scam auctions...it's been worth it.
