Drove over to Houston today to attend the Money Show.

The good news is that it was an uneventful drive.

The bad news is that the show didn't open today like I thought.........it opens tomorrow.

At least I'll finally get to meet you in person. Jason can probably entertain you tomorrow.

Enjoy your extended stay in Houston, it will be worth it. The Money Show is a big one.

Best way to handle that is to find an all-night bar and drink...drinking 20 two dollar beers will only set you back $40....much cheaper than any decent hotel....and....you have some serious conversations....

If you're going to do that - make sure you get a barstool near the bathroom - I hear the elderly can't hold it in very long

I showed up at Baltimore last time on dealer day & had to pay $100 to get in. It was worth it, but I had totally spaced out and just figured I was going to the regular show.......

This old guy stuff will just keep on coming on. You'll forget what you are talking about in mid-sentence, find yourself talking and be groping for a word you know perfectly well but can't remember at that moment. In restaurants you will not be able to hear anybody at the table when they talk and you'll have to learn to lipread. At home, you'll watch the television so loud it will wake the dead. Nights you will be so tired from working that all you can do is veg out, drink beer and watch TV. At night, you'll get up every few hours to pee. Young women will stop turning their heads when you walk by and they will call you Mister and Sir when they talk to you.

Of course, the alternative -- pushin' up daisys -- ain't no picnic in the park either.

As Ben Franklin once said, during a break from the Constitutional convention on a hot night in Philadelphia over beer and a pretzel:

"Life sucks. And then you die."

And he should know.

Sounds like ME at the last Baltimore show! I arrived thinking "free" admission and turns out it was Dealer day.

Fortunately i had my Jewelry resale certificate with me......

......unfortunately it cost me $100 to get in!
