Any Recommended Reading for Large Cents?

I have started to become very interested in collecting large cents.

Can anyone recommend any reading material that would be of interest and/or use?

    WOW! Where to begin.

    The new Breen book on large cents has more info than you might want to know. Sheldon is still of historical interest. The middle dates are covered best in John Wright's book. Then there is Grellman for the late dates. There is also the Dopper Anthology, which was edited by the late Herb Silberman and the late Warren Lapp.

    There's more, but those will keep you busy for quite a while.
    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Join Early American Coppers (EAC) and acquire back issues of Penny-Wise - it's the best Large Cent college tuition money that you can spend.

    The Noyes books; U.S. Large Cents 1793-1814 and U.S. Large Cents 1816-1839 are nice too.

    Excellent for attributing your coins.
