At any rate I don't like the coin he showing. It's the typical look with a mint set coin tarnishes but does not really tone. Ugly, spotty brown.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
What's the big deal? One of the auctions is over. I guess he pulled it when he noticed the mistake. I've made purchases from Wayne herdon coins...great guy. I always thought he was in GA not VA????
I was just amazed that someone with his feedback rating would make such a blatant error. As someone else already pointed out it appears as if he realized his mistake and cancelled one of the auctions. I guess we are all human eh?

I bet that's a nice looking coin, too. I've gotten a number of quarters from him with similar photos, and the coins were fabulous!
The coin looks nice and lustrous, with plenty of blue-green and reddish in the brown. I like it!
