Got SPAM anyone?

goose3goose3 Posts: 11,471 ✭✭✭
This sure ticks me off and once again it's unwanted unsolicited and this is after I made it clear the last time I wanted no more mailings. I need to figure out how to remove my set altogether I guess. I no longer have it listed but it still shows as one of the all time finest.

How about calling their 800 number a few times a day, telling them you want to be removed? It's their nickel for the call.

These spamming slimeballs are still at it?

I'm sure CoinPete will be along shortly to explain that they never do that.

Actually, it's not that simple. They spammed me by culling the eMail address in my profile here at the forums. It is not the same one I use in the set registry.

Even better than calling, let your fax machine do it. It will happily redial over and over for you and there's no awkward moment of trying to figure out what to say when some one answers. Finally, having to keep answering the phone, knowing it likely going to be a fax machine is about as irritating as it gets.

Oh so true! Occasionally at work over the summer we'd get a wrong number, including a very old woman... she just kept yelling at the machine... we were laughing so hard! image (then we got the right number image)

    Wayne,

You are an evil man. I love it! image

Where's CoinPete? I guess his damage control radar must be on the blink.

Write "STOP SPAMMING ME" on three sheets of paper, which you then securely tape end to end. Start the first one thru the fax, when it makes it thru the front, tape it to the bottom of the third, thus making an endless, perennial loop. A couple days of that should do the trick.
