I hope the pics are good enough. My first attempt at a photo of a slab. I have had this baby for a while. The scratches are on the plastic.

64 FB. Probably technically better but the toning on the obverse is unattractive.

MS66 FSB. Tremendous strike...The 39 is slightly better in FSB. I like it. Wait for WingedLiberty and Fairlaneman to offer their thoughts

I don't mind the speckled toning on this. I'm tempted to assume that the photo of the reverse is a bit out of focus, and that the strike is not weak as it appears --obverse strike is killer. Based on that 67 FB.

Hi JRocco,

Nice Merc. Looks to have a fair amount of strike doubling both obverse and reverse. Hard to tell about the luster from the photo. My educated guess is 65FB. Is it in a "rattler"

It isn't a rattler Wayne, but it is in an older green label. The strike is really sharp and I lost that sharpness in the photos. I will figure out how to shoot a coin in a holder one of these days. And by the way---Hint--- its a proof coin.

I liked it more when I thought it was MS. It doesn't look proof in the photo.

I did not do this coin justice with my pictures. I will try to do a better job with the lighting/glare problems I had (sorry CG). This coin is beautifully struck.
