Can you do a search to find out what the selling range has been for a particular date/mint mark?

I think you can only search back for 30 days.

Yes. Do the search, then click "completed items" at the lower left. Only goes back 30 days, though, so if it's one that doesn't come up often, the search is pretty useless.

I've never done it myself, but the person to ask is FC57Coins. He's done a lot of research on what certain coins sell for, particularly Frankies.

Search for the item and then in the left column you will find "Completed Items". Click and it will show the past few weeks of all ended auctions.

The Teletrade or Heritage archives might prove more useful. With those you can go way, way back.

for eBay, the search of completed items must be words "in the title" will running auctions can also include words in the description

you have to be selective on what/how you search

for example in the quarter section a search of "1932-D PCGS" will probably be close to what you want, you will get some search spammers like " not PCGS" but people list grades so differently and whether Washington or quarter - you need to be specific yet general

and as already stated - only 30 days back
