I've made a lot of money betting on the Army/Navy game over the last 10 years.
The key is to wait for a year where Army is 8-2 and Navy is 2-8 and then put a
$5 - $10 bet in on Army with all of the Navy Academy grads. There is some kind
of compulsion in those Polly-Paddle Tech grads that obligates them to accept a
small bet. (They won't go for $100 when they are doomed to lose, but they will
still cover $5.)

<< <i>Go ARMY!!! Drown the squids. Of course.

>>

My sentiments exactly.

PhillyJoe · December 5, 2003 5:49AM

My father was Army; my wife's father was Navy. Best I can hope for is a tie.

This game gives us a chance to try out the heated turf that was installed at the Lincoln Financial Field. Hopefully, the stadium railings (remember the Vet) won't collapse this time.

Tootawl · December 5, 2003 8:43AM

Where are they playing? Philly?

Bobk · December 5, 2003 8:58AM

I remember when they played in Philly. Right outside the navy base.

GTOster · December 5, 2003 9:13AM

Yes they are playing in Philly. And the new field called the "LINK" (Lincoln Finanacial Field) is right up the street form the old Navy Base
Now if it will stop snowing so they can get the field ready ,have 6" right now and expecting another 6 to 8 overnight
GO NAVY
GO EAGLES BEAT THE cowboys
Paul

Tootawl · December 5, 2003 9:28AM

The only reason I asked was that I was thinking that if they played at Ravens Stadium in Baltimore, parking for the coin show would be a real pain.

Stork · December 5, 2003 9:50AM

GO NAVY

CoinHusker · December 5, 2003 10:45AM

Sorry to hear Army missed out on a great coach, Frank Solich. It would have been a great fit. Appears he was pushed a litle too hard, too fast. Too bad. Record making 0-13 looks like Army's future.

MacCrimmon · December 5, 2003 11:33AM

FALCON'S RULE!! GO ARMY!!

merz2 · December 5, 2003 12:53PM
