Hoarders of keys dates?? Which ones??
Do you know anyone that is hoarding key date coins? Of course you here about a person that SUPPOSE to have a roll of 1909-s VDB's in a safe deposit box here in Houston. I would just love to see them but here again I wonder how many are counterfeits? I collect 20centers for me but I wouldnt consider myself a hoarder but what constitutes a hoarder? 50 or more? 100 more??

I believe in hoarding key date coins, along with many collectors, as an investment. Key dates go up in value. It is as simple as that. I have 15-20 Lincoln 1931-S cents. BU coins of this date are still quite affordable under a hundred bucks a coin.
Some people just have a date that is a personal favorite of theirs. I am sure their are many differn't reasons people hoard. It's all about the joy of collecting.
I'm trying to keep a roll of all 20th century coins. Have no idea why I started, wish I didn't and now I have a "hoard" of coins. Have been concentrating on a type set of late.

Wow!
This wholesales at over $80,000 now, but such a huge number hitting the market at one
time would definitely lower the price for a while.
