I've been thinking about getting into Canadian coins a little bit myself. I don't really know where to start, though. I wonder if this is how someone just starting out in coin collecting feels?
All toned coins.
Why would anyone want a silver coin to be anything but silver?
I will never understand this obsession.
Give me a bright white, fully lusterous PQ Morgan any day of the week over some nasty toned specimen.
I want the coin to look as close to the day it was minted as possible.

Send me your address and I'll send you a bottle of jewelluster to make all your dreams come true.
Pretty coin and great deal! DOWN WITH DIP!
Canadian proof dollars from the 70s have a tendancy to have toning like this because of the aforementioned velvet case (you can see some toning on the obverse from tiny lashes of the velvet directly on the coin).
Give one of these puppies a shot... c'mon... I dare you
