Local coin dealer killed in robbery.

The owner of the nearest coin shop in my area was shot and killed in an apparent robbery today. I'd planned on stopping at his shop but was sick and went to the doctor instead. I've known him several years and he's always been honest, fair, and generous with his time. Just sad and shocking news.

WOW! That is probably the only coin shop in S. Utah. That area has very little violent crime. I was just down in St. George three weeks ago. I didn't even know there was a coin shop in that area.

What a shame, and a terrible waste of life.

That's just odd, I bet it wasn't a robbery. There's something else to this story. When they finally catch the guy I'm sure the gaps will be filled in.

It still is horrible though. What a shame. Sounds like he was a decent man.

I went to the funeral of a friend today -- 34 years old -- cancer. It really is a shame. He was truly a great guy and I'm going to miss him.

That's horrible. My condolences. I will keep his freinds and family in my prayers.

I've traveled through the area en route to Zion National Park. Beautiful, peaceful area, but stuff like that can happen anywhere. I hope they catch the guy and that justice is served.

Well incase there isnt a heaven or hell we have a place for that murdering scum. Its called a prison cell for the rest of his natural life.
The death sentence is too good for these skid marks on the underwear of society.

I hope the guilty party gets fried...or fired. Utah is one of the states where death by firing squad is allowed, though it is of the inmates choosing. Read about it here!

That's a sad story. I was in that coin store last spring (on a business trip to SLC). For some reason, it seems to hit home more when I know I have been there once.

I do not think that I knew Jordan, but it is always a tragedy when anyone is killed, further when a colleague, doing the same thing as you are, is the victim. By the grace of God.........

We lost a Dealer here in Louisville around 15 years ago to a robbery/shooting. Luckily, A 1916D Mercury Dime was part of the heist. Scum Sucking Pig was apprehended trying to sell it to another Dealer.

Wasn't Gary Gilmore executed by a firing squad in Utah ?

I believe he was the first to be executed in the United States in quite some time.What year was he executed ?

This thief/murderer was evidently not afraid of a firing squad or am I missing something ?
