1909-S VDB in MS62BRN

A friend of mine just made a PCGS MS62BRN 1909-S VDB that is PQ he wants $900 for it (MS60ask). MS63 bid on this coin is $950 or only $150 more than what he wants for his MS62.
Should I buy it or pass and keep looking for a MS63?
Are these coins selling over sheet?

Check heritage for the "real" prices these are getting in todays market.

If you don’t have unlimited funds, my advice is to buy the coin in the highest grade that is just under the spot where the price really “takes off.” For the 1909-S-VDB that grade would probably be MS-63, R&B. In MS-64, Red the Gray Sheet price jumps to $2,250. In MS-65, Red it’s $4,200.

Unless this coin is really attractive and looks to be an MS-63 in an MS-62 holder, I’d spend the $200 to $300 more and buy the MS-63. MS-63 is a much more widely recognized grade and will be easier to resell when that day comes.

My opinion...if you like it, buy it. I respect what BillJones said, but an 09-S VDB...I don't think you'd ever have trouble selling it no matter what the grade...(I've got a VF35)

I don't have unlimited funds and will have to sell some coins to be able to afford it.
