    WOW - nice coins...love that 1793 Nic. Shylock, don't you have a 1894/94 too??image

ELWOOD - It's a J179, one picture angled to show the color, the other straight on for the details (but only one coin). The J219 is a FE pattern on both sides, one side with motto, one side w/o.

Have you ever sat alone in the desert on a very dark moonless night and just stared up at the miriad stars in the sky? That is one way to make yourself feel completely insignificant. Another way is to look at page 3 of this post.

    Love that 59 Carl.

Lakes - besides your ex. 1894/1894, I use to own a couple proofs from that date too. Together they would have made a nice type set of 1894's.

Anyone have any rainbow coppers? This one isn't going to win any prizes, but for a dollar I thought it was a nice looking coin. image

    Shylock:

Great coins - I love the 1894 you sold me too.

Here's one of my favorites, the only PCGS 67R in a 10 year span.

Thanks to a purchase from Eagle Eye Rare Coins (Rick Snow) I have just upgraded my set of 1857 Clashed Die Flying Eagle cents.
The purchase was an 1857 NGC MS63 Snow-9.

Ths also gives me the dubious distinction of having 2 of these sets.image

    Set 1: MS63 Snow-9, MS-63 Snow-8 and VF-20 Snow-7

    Set 2: G-4 Snow-7, AU-58 Snow-9 and VF-20 Snow-8

Say... since all of the local Indian Cent experts are in this thread, maybe you could take a lok at this coin for me. It is a low-grade and corroded 1859 Indian with what I think is a very strong RPD.

    image

I sent this picture of the actual coin to Rick Snow and he said it didn't match up with any listed RPD, but was in too poor condition to get a definite attribution. What do you all think?

seanq - did you send the coin to Rick or did he think it would help?? Attributing a picture would be difficult, I would think.
