Paypal payment shows "Pending"

A number of my Ebay auction ended yesterday and the payment status show "Pending."

Several payments went right through without showing this.

Logged on and there was nothing indicating any problems.

The account is set up to accept creditcards.

    Maybe some of your buyers paid with an eCheck through Paypal. It takes 4 days for the check to clear so Paypal puts pending on it.

    Click the "details" link and it will have the information to tell you why it's pending.

    The details link on Ebay takes me to my Paypal account info and there are no "Pending" transactions showing. Called Paypal and they show no "Pending" transactions.image

    That just means that it hasn't yet propogated to eBay. There are still some glitches in the integration that ocassionally pop up. As long as it shows completed in your PayPal account, you're good to go.

    Bumping this to find out the resolution. I'm seeing the same problem on 3 of 8 recent payments. Emails received saying that payments have been received, payment shows 'pending' in eBay, nothing at all shows on the Paypal website about these 3 payments. Never had this before in 7+ years on eBay.

    e-check transactions take a couple of days.If i pay someone with paypal this always happens.
    Great coins are not cheap,and cheap coins are not great!

    I bought a coin last week, made payment thru paypal as usual (funds from checking account) and an echeck was sent. My paypal account showed money pulled from checking and money paid to seller as usual but ebay showed pending. Me thinks it's a glitch.

    No glitch. For 3 or 4 days the money is not in your account and not in their account. Who gets interest during this time? --Jer

    like stated by others, it's an echeck that takes 4-5 days to clear. and YES, this is one of the many ways that paypal makes money - it's no secret.

    Drove me nuts when I had one of those. I thought the seller figured out I had cherrypicked his lot and declined accepting the PayPal payment. It is really a hold time for an eCheck to clear.

    As a seller, I never ship the coins out until payment clears. Then you're just left with worrying about chargebacks.

    I've tried to ship to buyers I know before the e-check clears and paypal shipping won't even let you print a shipping label. --Jerry

    One other Thing to Consider is If The Buyer has an Unconfirmed Address,then You Might see this as Well until "you decide" if you'll accept payment or Not. I Have also gotten this message before where it has been paid,but when i look in my E-Bay under items Sold, I have seen an hour Glass for a long time. As Russ eluded too,this can just be the system not catching up with itself. If you Look in the Details of The Paypal Transaction, it will tell you all you need to know. You can Always Call Paypal at 1-888-215-5506. Best of Luck from Ray in Florida..
