Dealer Appreciation Thread - Really

I'm very fortunate to be in the process of significantly upgrading my Flying Eagle/Indian Head cent collection, and I just want to thank three individuals and the firms they are associated with for the opportunity to preview and purchase (although not all the purchases are finalized yet) some really great coins. What has been especially important to me is the individual attention and the time they have taken to allow me to pick their brains - their collective expertise is a delight for a FE/IHC collector like myself.

I recommend all three highly - not that they need any recommendation from me - but a personal big Thank You Guys is appropriate from a small collector like myself who the big guys still found time for. A lot of dealer bashing goes on here, but it’s much more fun to be able to post a thread like this one.

Andy Skrabalak (Angel Dees), Mark Feld (Pinnacle) and Rick Snow (Eagle Eye) - Thanks for helping and listening to a "little guy" (with some big cats image ) collector.

Thank you for your attention.

Pushkin, I had told you by PM, that I would thank YOU publicly in this thread, but, that I would wait, in the hopes that my reply would not be one of the first.

Well, apparently, my reply will have to be one of the first to this predictably short thread, but, a promise is a promise.

So, thank you sincerely, for your very kind / brave words.image

I too have been fortunate to discover a person who is both honest and extreemly knowledgeable in helping me put together my Mercury Dime set. Tony Ciccone, asccoins@comcast.net has been the only source I will truly trust.

Joe did not mention that Tony is a Board Member here and a real square shooter. Hey, he is a Merc Head also.

I want to take a moment to send a thanks out to Rick Kay of patterncoins.com, who has gone out of his way to help educate me about Pattern coinage after I have shown a beginners interest in it. Like many people whom I've interacted with since I've returned to coins a month or so back, he's reminded me how many generous and honestly friendly people there are in this hobby who are willing to take the time to share knowledge and time to those of us with an interest in learning.

Great thread Pushkin. Is the coin in your sig a Russian one?

As long as we're saying nice things about dealers, I will say that I have had good experiences with all of the internet dealers that I have come across: CHuck D'Ambra, Steve Estes, Eagle eye and David Lawrence. They all seem to put out the effort to keep me a repeat customer.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
Be responsible for your own actions, especially auction actions
Treat others and be as fair to others in likewise fashions,it gains lots of mileage..and good deals..
Dont be an a**wipe or an all of a sudden "expert" either, rely on knowledge of others who are experts
these are the kind of things that WORK and allows for smooth professionalism....happens every day,all day
