Anyone got an invitation from NGC for lunch plus other goodies? Who's taking up their offer and will attend?

    Well, I intended to step away from the boards for awhile, and looks like I`m not the only one to get this e-mail. I won`t be able to go. This is what it says.

    " Dear Collector,

    You are cordially invited to a lunch presented by NGC and the Collectors Society for Registry and Message Board participants.

    Please join us on Friday January 9th from 1-3 p.m. in Salon 4 of the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando, Florida, adjacent to the Orange County Convention Center.

    Come and meet one another, stay for lunch and leave with some great giveaways. Also, we will provide a free internet quality photo imaging service for up to 10 NGC coins per guest.

    We look forward to seeing you in Orlando! "

    New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    I didn't get one - Rick, Boiler and I can watch the shop for you. Heck, that's where we prefer to hang out the whole time anyway....you might as well put us to work. image

    I got mine today. I've been thinking about about going to the FUN show especially since Saturday Jan 10th is my birthday. I have to see how the finances look after Christmas.

    I wonder if this is the start of a luncheon war between the two major services.

    While my loyalty is not for sale, it can be rented ,for a nice surf and turf lunch with a pleasent salad

    and a beverage and perhaps a chocolate desert. Chocolate Mousse pie with whipped cream

    might be nice.
