Buffalos and Liberty nickels are the best, in my worthless opinion. Jeffersons aren't so bad, but I would rank them third.

I collect the Buffalo and Shield series. As far as Jeffersons, I pick 'em up out of change only. The Liberty design always bored me. I'd like to look into the half disme series, but I have too many other interest to start them now.

Really I only have 1 buffalo and a couple Jefferson errors so I voted for those 2.

I do a nice jeff collection from the banks. Got nearly an entire series from 1938-1995 although a couple of them were donations from mom way back when I was a kid. In fact, I think this week I'll pick up some more rolls of nickels and continue filling it up.

    ditto

although I do have a complete set of Jeffs through 1964, mostly plucked from circulation, a few of the better dates bought in nice-but-not-gaga BU.

I like nickel types. For some reason, it tickles me that there are four major types, and each type has two distinct varieties. There's a certain synergy about it that pleases my mind.

Half dimes and buffalos. Half dimes are cool because they are the forgotten child of collecting.

I am what you might call a Buffalo Nickel addict.

I have 10 complete sets with grades ranging from restored dates to AU (I don't do MS on purpose though some of my Buffaloes are probably MS)

In addition to the above I have at least a dozen rolls of various dates and grades.

Do I need help? (Be nice!!!)

Working a VF or better circ set of Liberty nickels...tougher than I thought it was gonna be.

I'm putting together a circulated set of Buffaloes, average grade VF or so. It's not too expensive, and it's one design that actually looks cool when it has some circulation or even some dirt. Really makes the design stand out. Also, it's something I don't have to keep in the safe deposit box, so I can see it whenever I want.

I have also dug my Jefferson nickels out of storage from when I was a kid and will finish that set with the few that are missing.

I did a step of full step (or as close as possible) Jeffs as my first serious series when I was young in the early 80's. But I've never kept it up to date so it stops in 1986 I think :-)

I'm currently workign on the Liberty Nickels in MS60 up to Proofs. Six to go. It's been my favorite coin for a long time.

I plan to do Three Cent Nickels (in my eyes, the honorary nickel coin series :-) next, and I'm starting to think about Nickel patterns. The Shields and Buff's are out there someplace, but I'm not as drawn to them as the Liberty Nickels

I can't select multiple answers. I started with Jeffs, then V's, Shields, and finally I had to do Buffalos cause I had the rest (I don't like buffalos), and I am three short of a complete set of seated halfdimes. I'll probably do the Capped bust half dimes eventually, but I'll do those by die variety.
