Maybe all of us that want to keep the chat room lively should leave a window open to it while we are reading the boards and we can check in every few minutes to see who else is there and start some coin talk? Just an idea anyway's. mike
I've tried it once or twice. Most times there hasn't been anyone in there. I'll tell you though, one night Michael was in there, and we had a heck of a conversation. You think he types fast in the threads? Try to keep up in the chat room, and then talk about a guy that knows his stuff!!!!!! Holy Cow. I don't believe I ever ran into anyone there after that.
People have drifted in and out and tried it before. The problem is that late-loading, jerky look to it. It can induce a seizure after awhile. If they had the thing running smoothly, I think more people'd use it.
I suspect its a chicken-and-egg sort of thing: they don't try to fix it, because no one much uses it. And people don't use it, because...etc.

Once I went in there to take a nap, and there were two ballcard-types chatting. How dare them intrude on the silence of the place.

Ditto!
I didn't even know there was a chat room. Actually, people respond to posts back-and-forth so quickly that this is practically a chat room.

Here's a warning parable for coin collectors...

Funny. I just peeked in there for a grand total of maybe 2.5 seconds.
