Thus far, it's pissing me off...
A short while ago, here at the forum, there was somewhat of a debate regarding weather to decline or accept, as a seller, paypal via credit card. Welp, I did a experiment with my present auctions; whereas, I decided to ACCEPT paypal via credit card. "Low and behold," and much to my dismay, despite what my brother-in-law was extremely emphatic about, I've come to experience that he was sooooooo correct about NOT accepting CC's at ebay, as I expressed in the previous debate with forum members: e.g. I sold a DBL. Eagle for $500.00 and the farkin' charges were approx. 28 or more dollars. That's what I get for not adhereing to my B in law's suggestion, and my common sense, which of course is limited. mama always said, "Tom, you'll learn the hard way!"...
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

Paypal permits you to downgrade your account one time (I think) which I did quite some time ago.

Correct.

isn't there a "trick" to that also??? I vaguely recall the details about having to do something 2 times.

1. Listing fee paid by seller
2. Final Value fee by seller
3. PayPal credit card acceptance fee paid by seller
4. PayPal fraud insurance fee paid by buyer
It also depends on what you sell I think. An extra 3% on generic common date low-margin material is painful unless one can buy such coins at true wholesale levels. I've seen people accept PayPal most of the time but not accept on certain auctions also.

while in fact he has had only one year of experience...
twenty times.
is it possible you got another $25 because of paypal??
the same item on yahoo probably would have gotten you near $400
