Pennsylvania 20% off center error

Can anyone give me information about error strikes this nice?
There is a full 4mm offset of the strike.
There is a slight flattening on the rim at 3-9 o'clock. Smooth all around like a nickel. image
It did come from an original bank roll.
It is struck from a clad planchet.
No doubling is evident.
It came from a family member. Sell and split $$$, or keep it and pay a fair half value?
Actually, I like the direction of the off center strike, 6-12 o'clock. Is it worth while to have slabbed?
Any input would be appreciated.

Bob

I'm going to really upset if the pic's don't come up. NWCS did a great "how to do" on posting pictures.
They are not showing in the preview, which I believe they did in the past.

It's a good roll find. It's worth probably around $50. I see no reason to waste any of that to get it slabbed because an error collector can easily see that it's authentic and they really don't worry about numerical grades.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

It will sell for a whole lot more than $50. If you want to sell it for $50, PM me.

Run, don't walk, to eBay and list it with the two pictures you attached. It should realize more there than the prices being thrown around this thread.

I was chatting with an error-only dealer at a recent coin show. I was very surprised, not being an error collector, when he said off center state quarters are fairly uncommon and do go for a lot more than traditional, off center Wash quarters.

If Fred is willing to go $120.00 I would definately put it up on eBay that is unless you want to keep it.

These sell from $100 to $125. Fred's offer is very fair.

I ran a few quick searches on eBay, and Fred's number is much closer to reality than I first thought. I guess the state quarter error bubble has burst, I remember when coins like the subject off-center would easily realize $200 or more. I just wish the clips would come down too.

It allows Private messages. Go to your profile and check the box that says "enable pm's".

click on PROFILE near the navigation bar.

then when that opens it is down towards the bottom of the screen (if I recall)

you can "turn it on" where it says "ALLOW PRIVATE MESSAGES"

you can then send/receive Private Messages after your profile is updated!
