OK, it's my turn to ask for help from all out experts on the forum.
What is this? Token? Medal?
Where can I get more info on it?

    It looks like a medal made out of pewter or possibly silver though I doubt it. My guess is something along the lines of a "give away" of some sort.

    Looks like a silver US Mint medal. But I'm just guessing.

    My guess too is that its a medal. When you flip a coin over from 6 to 12 o'clock, the reverse is right side up. When you do that with a medal, the reverse is upside down. A medal orientation means that you have to flip it from 3 to 9 o'clock for the reverse to be right side up. I've seen medals like this before that were made in brass and featuring Lincoln and Garfield. Surely one of the member experts will be able to help further.

    If I'm not mistaken, the General Grant medal you have was issued in a set made in the early 1970's from a private mint. They were titled something like "Great Generals of the Civil War." I don't remember who made them, but I've sold several sets over the years.

    This is courtesy of Joe Levine, Presidential Coin & Antiques, Alexandria, Va.

    This is an unlisted U.S. Mint Medalet. It combines the obverse of of Julian
    PR-42 by Anthony Paquet with an unlisted reverse. This unlisted reverse borrows
    its wreath from PR-36, a Lincoln assassination medalet. This was probably a
    private issue (not sold to collectors by the Mint) and could have been used
    for election purposes. It has a value of $50-60.
    PNG member, numismatic dealer since 1965. Operates a retail store, also has exhibited at over 1000 shows.
    I firmly believe in numismatics as the world's greatest hobby, but recognize that this is a luxury and without collectors, we can all spend/melt our collections/inventories.
