That's a bodybag label that accidentally got sealed in the slab. Never should have happened. Note the ".92", where there should be a numerical grade. "92" is the code for cleaned.

    what...slabbing cleaned coins?

they do it all the time...only they dont always say it on the slab...image

guess cause its a `sought-after` piece is the only reason.?????

Nope, it's a screwup in the sealing room.

I think Russ hit this one on the money... the slab collectors should be all over this one.

Before you guys have a heart attack, I have to confess - this is a joke. It is a body bag label.

I got my submission back in the mail today. I took a pic of the body bag label, and using Photoshop, superimposed it on top of the label of a real slab. Took a little work to match the size and color of the label, but I purposely left a clue in place. I figured one of you guys would catch it and call it what it is - a doctored photo. Anyone care to guess what the tipoff is?

Barry - it's the wrong ID# - the one you used is for a "RD" one.image

Boy that was a good one Barry, I was about to get highly upset if PCGS started this new grading policy. I would have dumped um like a basket of bricks.

There's a shadow off the penny onto the slab.

the cent doesn't look like a 1922. it looks like a 1919 or 1910 or something. whatever it is, you are a sly one!!

    BINGO!
The slab is actually an IHC (the only Lincon PCGS slabs I have are the old green label ones). I placed the '22 Lincoln on top of the IHC, and took a pic of the slab. Then, I took a pic of the body bag label and put the two together in software. I was about to remove the shadow, but then decided to leave it in to see if anyone would catch it.
