Good pics to show perspective and what the drawers actually look like and their quantity.
Cant tell you all how excited I am about this thing!!! Wish more members were close by to see it in person...

Did you make it or buy it?

That is such a nice cabinet. What was it originally made for?
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
It was made for what it is being used for right now!! Coins!!. It is an antique coin cabinet circa early 1900's (about 1910).
First one that I have seen after looking for 6 months...

"But honey...it's an antique..."
I' am quite jealous...I order you as a superior officer to give it to me...
Strangely enough she actually suggested that we move the furniture that was there in order to put the cabinet in that set up. She really likes the cabinet too!!!!

My wife loves woodworking projects. Ill see if I can get here to make one.
That cabinet was a good score.
I hope that you have insurance for your coins, alarm system and perhaps video. If I were a thief ( I am not). I would just pick up the cabinet and run. I only say this as food for thought.

I will never keep any of my higher end coins in there.
Plus, mahogany is very heavy, so it would be tough to run out the door with it. It is small but weighs about 50 lbs!!

I seen one a while back that had a glass top in it where you could see the top drawer of coins.
The Last one I seen was the one with the glass top and it was made in the early twenties, seems like it was from a Furniture maker in New Hampshire, no longer in business.
OUTSTANDING find. Robbi
That is how it was purchased. The glass topped one sounds super cool.
I am going to keep an eye out for these puppies in the future too. Think that they are very undervalued!
