Just won a gorgeous NT 1988 SAE NGC-MS67 with golden-brown toning from Russ. A superb example of NT

There is a 24 hour moratorium on saying "You suck!" to Russ.
Just won this NT SAE from him on Ebay.

Colorful SAE routinely sold for $75.00 or much more in PCGS and NGC holders. I see the prices on these dropping quite a bit. Nice score wingedliberty. That about covers the grading fees and the host coin, give or take.

Whoever thought in 1986 that this series would become as collectible as it is now.

Oh man, Russ is getting poetic on us. Pretty soon I might have to offer him my forum title.

Nice coin wingedliberty and Russ. I just want to play the devil's advocate here. If these 99.9 are so reactive that they rainbow up so fast NT with modern indoors temp/humity controls, then there would be a hell of alot of fugly dark ones that kept toning past the rainbow stage to the dark side.
Like the bag morgans that tone too far but much, much, much, much much, much slower since 90% and from a time when no enviromental controls.image

Of course no one would send a fugly toned SAE for slabbing but someone here who deals with volumes of them raw please interject on this.

Good...I feel a little better with them in plastic then, but I cant help but be more curious in knowing more in rough volumes in perhaps comparison terms with other type coins we all know more about.image

Reminds me of one that I had slabbed a few months ago. It is a 1992 SAE that was stored in a canvas bag with a bunch of others (I didn't store it, got it that way). Was graded MS-69 by NGC. You can see a faint pattern of the cloth on it.
