  • Adrian................YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK YOU SUCK!!!!!!!!! er, wait a minute....just read that you have sold it....image

    never mind....YOU STILL SUCK!!!! image

THAT is truly an awesome coin!! That ranks up (and maybe above) with some of the very high grade Morgans that I have seen posted on this forum......truly a work of art.
"I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, I won't be laid a hand on; I don't do these things to other people, I require the same from them."
  • I do indeed suck. Especially immediately before i challenge one of my kids to a breath holding contest in the pool.

    Adrian,

I believe your coin probably was not dipped as I own the Proof 1895 Barber half from the Child's collection which was kept in an oak box with coin trays lined with velvet. Most of the Proofs from the 1890's were bought directly from the mint.Mine is graded Proof 68 deep cameo by PCGS.

Cool coin. Almost up to Franklin Mint standards.

  • Thanks, Stewart. I'll pass that along to the buyer.

Andy.....you're funny. Did you know that the 60 minutes expose' on the Franklin Mint almost killed it's business? It now focuses on non coin products.

    Adrian,
This is a hard to find fault coin. Either a time capsul coin or the best in dip possible in a fantstic strike coin.

  • Fantastic coin! (Now it just needs to be colorized with Dale Earnhardt's picture)
    Curmudgeon in waiting!
  • WOW! That is beautiful. Wonder how much cash changes hands for a piece of art like this coin. Stunning. Breathtaking. Awe inspiring. Some lucky individual will actually have this coin as a part of his/her collection. Jealousy and envy.

P.S. David O'Dell tells me that Mr. Anaconda is in fact a very good attorney in addition to his obvious coin skills. Small world.
  • What do you this this is worth? NumisEXPERT (our software) puts the price at $29,500.00 - When no coin in the grade exists, we extrapolate. I realize that the coin is worth what someone is willing to pay but when you have a coin that is so rare and unusual it falls into the "no price" category. I have an 1821 Small Date dime MS64 NGC (finest known last time I checked) only 5 graded mint state and the experts tell me it isn't worth anything because it's too rare. Have you heard that about your coin?

  • Hey Sean! - i got it this past Friday. Sorry to say you won't be able to see it unless the buyer returns it, as i already shipped it.

Curiousgeorge.....so you know Dr. David O'Dell! It is indeed a small world. He and i do a lot of business together. I have always liked him, although he's a bit intimidating, being both a doctor and a lawyer.

Adrian, it's certainly a superb rarity.

Do I notice some kind of cabinet friction on the reverse? If so, how could it be graded over 59?

Can't be ... the Franklin Mint pumped out that puppy yesterday. I would ask to be buried with that coin.
