about a month ago I won 4 sheets for SLQ's. Am just now putting in some nice silver washingtons, both ms and proofs. Will see what happens. Not sure what to store the boards in after I fill them, because the album was not included. Any ideas?
Congrats! I bought the same album plus a couple of additional boards to bring the Type Set current from Jonathan Kern a couple of months ago. I also got a Roosie dime set, Peace $ set and three long dollar boards for my modern commem set.
The Roosies and the Peace $ are starting to get some toning going. I'm not really noticing anything on the modern commem set yet.
As for the Type Set, this will be my opus. I've decided to do a true WR type set with all high grade coins, cracked out from NGC & PCGS holders. I imagine it will take a lifetime and a small fortune to finish. But if I do 2-5 coins a year, it should be doable.
I only waited ( or should I say wayted ) 2 days to see if I won.
Fiend, from Lucy? I am honored.
Not sure what I will put them in. I'll have to see what I can find that the holes will line up with.
As for going for the whole shabang not at this time. I am just gonna fill the holes with some nice pieces that fit and then store them in the basement. There changes in temperature and humidity should help.
those are type coin boards. the 1's you want are series boards, ie barber halves, etc. the type boards are useful, but usually cheaper because they have less capacity. still a good find though.

I hear the bottom rack of the oven at low heat or the trunk of a car through the summer months works best.
you did not mention the purpose of your purchase ( the seller had others and I was underbidder on a couple ) - I recently got some Canadian Half dollar pages and plan on using them to accelerate cool colors
what I have noticed so far -
I bought a green book (wayte raymond) with Roosevelts in it that had been there for 40+ years
the coolest colors where by the cut edges - the green books are only 1-sided slides rather than 2 the down side of the green book backing leaves dark dots / ugly toning on the coins -> 2 sided slides probably better
I am going to try cutting these pages into strips so that all coins are within 1/2 inch of a open cut strip but enough extra space to keep the slides intact and hope I live long enough to see some cool colors
Not sure where I am going to store them yet - hanging in a sunny window - on boiler furnace - in trunk - ???
You're pretty easy to please. That image sucks. I just slapped it on the scanner because it was late, I'm old, it was a long day and I was tired and being lazy.

Did you have to wayte a long time?

A gift from Clankeye. But, he made me get my own coins to put in it.

Bill, take your time and pick off a Binder on eBay. Even if it comes with pages. Just snap them out and put yours in.

Your thread about your typeset, with the photos was truly one of the memorable ones around here.
