So How do you rate yourself?
There have been some interesting discussions about what constitutes a "dealer", a "coin-whore", etc...
just curious how you rate yourself.
Considering the forum has over 24 multi-millionaires (from the last poll) this should prove to be interesting.

market that would surprise the neophyte. There's the tendency toward everyone in
a deal trying to do so well that all parties are sometimes engaging in legalized steal-
ing. There's the unforeseen amount of heavy lifting. There's the wear and tear on the
eyes and many other things that wouldn't be expected. These I all understand. Been
there, done that. The other I just don't get.
I am the pretender to the throne so I guess that makes me a wanna be. I certainly do
not want to sell anything of myself other than my labor and patience, though.
...and I'll never rent out any coins.

Oh BTW, I do occasionally list coins on eBay so I guess I'm an occasional coin whore......or is it coin pimp.....I'm unsure
<< <i>You need an option for "coin scavenger" or "coin scrounge". That's what I do - basically I'm the dumpster diver of the coin world.
Russ, NCNE >>
Keep scrounging, Russ. This week's CW talks about a 1995-P cent/dime mule that someone bought for $15 in a Farmers' Market. That's a five-figure coin.
New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

A Rolex would not be on a dead guy very long
That was funny. LOL,

Funny there's only one "dealer" in the crowd.
<< <i>I take exception to Russ' remarks. Heck, I am least a good dumpster -- perhaps one and a half -- ahead of him. >>
Uh, RGL, I was being literal. There's a dumpster in the middle of the parking lot in front of my shop. Each night after all the business are closed and the people gone, I climb in and scrounge around.

With my pimped gains I repeat this process.
